A brief History
In 1996, Pete Reilly moved to Waiheke Island founding Chocolate Fish which become a popular choice for weddings, jazz festivals, birthdays, and corporate events. They became the opening act for the 2011/2013 biennial Sculpture of the Gulf events and have recorded two live albums: Chocolate Fish – Live at Vino Vino (1997) and Scandalicious (2012).
Chocolate Fish morphed and became The Buzz Bars, continuing to delight their customers with wonderful music. Jazz, Latin swinging blues or groovy pop. Whatever the preferred style, The Buzz Bars will have you moving and grooving all night long!
Not restricted to Waiheke, The Buzz Bars are also a popular choice for Auckland music event – and even further afield. Now, Pete and his ‘musical crew’ are set up as multiple bands and can offer a wide range of musical entertainment to suit any occasion.
